I have shared this quote numerous times in many workshops and coaching sessions because it highlights the importance of looking for what is in control - you or the automatic thinking?Much of the time for many of us it's the latter.Think about when you are watching a movie and before you know it you have eaten a whole bag of popcorn, without being conscious. That's what I mean.I personally do not always find this easy to do alone, which is why I go to workshops myself and have great coaches as friends and of course have my own coach/spiritual teacher that I have been working with for years.Becoming conscious is the only place where choice actually resides!#SelfEmpowerment #Awareness

Is a job INTERVIEW a test? This is a genuine question. Are they a test? Do you see them as a test? The reason for my question is 3 fold.1. I have run my own coaching practise for nearly 20 years, and therefore if has been sometime since I had a job interview.2. A client who is an interviewer, does not see it as a test and shares the questions he is going to ask with candidates before the interview.3. A client who is an interviewee does see it as a test and it's been impacting her significantly. As someone who hasn't been around the interviews for sometime I am always fascinated by world of work that many people experience. The client mentioned in point two was talking about how to help people be at their best.He and I have been working together for sometime now, and it never fails to amaze me, how as he has risen up the 'ladder' he looks to take people with him, and help others in many ways.Hence he gives interviewees the questions he is going to ask them before the interview. "I want to see the person at their best, not stressed. So I do all I can to help them shine. After all it's not a test."It has come to my attention that this practise is rare. Then a client asked about how she could be less anxious about interviews, as her neurodiversity means memory can be a challenge. I simply said - "take notes in with you.""Can you do that?" she asked. And we both sat there exploring the reasons why it would be helpful, not just to her, but actually to those interviewing, after all it would show the research she had done, that she is diligent and wants to make sure she is on point.Yet, the perception she had, was that notes 'weren't allowed'These conversations within a week of each other got me thinking about interviews.Do you see them as a test, where people should have great memories?Or could they be about aiding the person to truly show up as their best selves and bring notes if needed?Love to hear your thoughts 👇

Are you HIDING?I had an interesting chat with a friend whilst on walk a few weeks back. She was sharing an insight she had noticed about how as women we often hide our achievements. We shared our theories as to why we thought women did this and what could be done about it.BUT...conversations like this always give me time to reflect on one of my favourite questions "where do I do that?"Where do I maybe hide my light under a bushel, because, like many, I do.The world in which I grew up - very 'English' - drummed into that it was 'rude/ showing off/ disrespectful of others/ and just darn right annoying' to talk about what you had achieved. This wasn't gender specific to be clear. You could talk about your achievements in hushed tones around the dinner table, and others could share that news quietly with others, but standing proud and declaring 'I did this.' was frowned upon.I think that is why I have often found it odd when friends who have known me for more than a decade 'rave' about what I have achieved. I do acknowledge it, yet still don't share many of those things on a 'bigger scale'Not to be boastful, but to show what IS possible for you too.Not to show off, but to highlight the expertise I have. Not to put myself higher than others, actually the opposite. To share my differences and skills sets, in order to help you see yours.Hiding isn't helpful. For you, or me.Bragging isn't helpful either. What sits somewhere between the two is a truth that is helpful to both you and others to share.So...what achievement are you proud of that you'd love to share?Mine - I walked 10 miles with aforementioned friend, in heat, and felt darn good for it after!Yours - 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇

If it wasn’t then all I would need to do as a confidence coach is tell you how great and wonderful you are, highlight all the great things you do and what you can learn from the past and BOOM, you’d have confidence…but that doesn’t work does it?!You know this if you are a parent, as you probably say something similar to your children, sometimes they listen, others times maybe not so much. You may have heard things like this from a loving family member or friend and sometimes it works, but often not for long.It has to come from you.YOU need to see it and know it for yourself, that’s where the deep transformation happens. If you haven't done so already, head to www.juleswyman.online and sign up for the free unlock your natural confidence webinar to start your journey and start to feel more of it every day!#confidence #confidencecoach #happiness #mindfulliving #courage #courageousliving #evolveconfidence
