One lucky ticket purchased in California matched all five numbers to win the $44.3 million Powerball jackpot in the lottery drawing on Monday, August 19.
The jackpot was reset (for the second time in one week) at $20 million for the Powerball lottery drawing on Wednesday, August 21 and has since rolled over four times. The Powerball lottery jackpot now sits at $69 million with a cash option of $34.1 million for the drawing on Saturday, August 31.
There were two big winners in Wednesday's Powerball drawing. A ticket purchased in Wisconsin matched 5 plus the Power Play for a $2 million prize. Another ticket bought in Georgia matched 5 for a $1 million prize.
