Throlson Funeral services for Carl J. Throlson, age 85, of Broadway Board and Care and formerly of South Shore Drive, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Don Rose will officiate.

Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Funeral Home, and one hour before the service at the church. Carl died on Friday, May 8, 1992, at the Broadway Board and Care. He was born on March 7, 1907, in Freeborn County, the son of Jens and Anna Throlson.

Carl grew up in the Glenville area and spent a period of time working on the Canadian Highway. On Oct. 9, 1944, Carl was united in marriage to Ann Goubiff in Glenville. He worked for American Gas Company and Queen Products. Carl had been a member of First Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ann, of Albert Lea; daughter Barbara (Luna) Bultman and her husband, Ron, of Faribault; grandchildren Tamera and I her husband, Mark Lammey, of Albert Lea, Kim Luna of Albert Lea, Tonya Luna of Manchester; son Dameion Luna of Faribault; one great-granddaughter, Rani, of Albert Lea; sister Lily Roggie, of Sacramento, brother Clint, of Albert Lea; sister Ruby Throlson, of Northfield; and many nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Milo, Harold and Art; sister Lila Stenhovden; and son-in-law Terry Luna. Elder I. Elder died Thursday, May 7, 1992, at St. John's Lutheran Home. He was 91. Elder was born Jan. 18, 1901 in Bancroft, to Edward and Kaja (Bagaason) Johnsrud.

He married Sarah (Sadie) Bartlett on Oct. 26, 1925. Elder was a charter member of First Lutheran Church. He was in partnership with Leonard Wangen from 1941-1966, where they operated Johnsrud and Wangen Garage. He was a member of the Sons of Norway.

He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially going to Lake of the Woods. Elder liked watching the Twins and the Vikings. Elder is survived by one daughter, Connie Hansen and her husband, Robert of Albert Lea; two sons, Don B. Johnsrud and his wife, Eva, of Albert Lea, and David Johnsrud and his wife, Barbara of Albert Lea; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Edna Henry, of Albert Lea; sisters-in-law Mrs. Don (Cora) Lueth, of LaCrosse, and Eleanor Johnsrud, of Fort Lauderdale, and nieces and nephews.

Elder was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sarah; two brothers, Carlyle and Leonard; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson. Raymond Charles Jenson The funeral service for Raymond Charles Jenson will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 11, 1992, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The Rev. Fred Morrison will officiate.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Ray died Monday, May 4, 1992, at Sartori Memorial Hospital 1 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, following a brief illness. He was 72. Ray was born Nov. 19, 1919, in Albert Lea, the son of J.

Chris and Ruth L. (Springer) Jenson. He graduated from Lea High School in 1938. Ray married Erlys Hanson Oct. 8, 1939, in Albert Lea.

He was employed, by Montgomery Ward for many years, retiring in 1980. Ray was currently sales associate with Wal-Mart in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He was an Eagle Scout, a 'member of U.C.T. and the First Church of the Nazarene, and. was of the 31st Special Seabees.

Ray is survived by his wife; his son, Terry; four grandchildren, Robert, Dennis, Christa and Christian, all of Cedar Falls, Iowa; two brothers, William of Mesa, Ariz. and James of Riverside, two sisters, Dorothy Kessler of Fall Church, Va. and Lucille Nelson of Rochester, Minn. Ray was preceded in death by a sister, Marion VanDenover; two brothers, Lyle and a sister in infancy. Richardson Funeral Home of Cedar Falls was in charge of arrangements.

Minna L. Ehrich Funeral services for Minna L. Ehrich, age 100, of St. John's Lutheran Home, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, 1992, at Zion Lutheran Church.

Minna died Friday evening, May 8, 1992, at St. John's. She was born on Oct. 7, 1891, in Eldora, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and (Oldenburg) Nehring. Her family moved to the Elmore, Minn.

area in 1902. Minna had worked as a midwife and a country nurse as a young woman, prior to her marriage. On Sept. 3, 1913, she was united in marriage to Henry Ehrich, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Elmore.

Shortly after their marriage, Minna's mother died in childbirth. Henry and Minna cared for the newborn, her sister, until the child's death in the flu epidemic of 1918. The Ehrichs lived in Albert Lea from 1936 to 1952, then again from 1975 to the present. Minna was a member of Zion Lutheran church, church circles, and a Bible study group at Shady Oaks apartments, where she had lived prior to entering St. John's.

Jean Survivors include daughters Ostley and her husband, Ray, of Albert Lea, Marilyn Edwardson, of Palo Alto, daughter-in-law Charlene Ehrich of El Cajon, Calif; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Herb Nehring of Eldora, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry, in 1983; her son Virgil in 1990; and four brothers and three sisters. He was 73. Merle was born on Sept. 28, 1918, in Wells, the son of Charles and Flossie (Hoppe) Jones. He grew up in the Wells area. He was raised by his grandmother Emma Hoppe Korthauer due to his mother's death shortly after his birth.

He joined the Army at age 17. He served our country for eight years before receiving a medical discharge after serving in the South Pacific during World War II. Merle was united in marriage to Betty Lou Campbell on Aug. 3, 1946, in Wells. He worked as a farmhand and on construction until his retirement in 1980.

He was a life member of the V.F.W., serving as post commander of Post 447 in 1985-1986, and state poppy chairman in 1987-88. He was also a member of the American Legion, the D.A.V., and War Dads. Merle enjoyed camping, kids and his work with veterans' organizations. He is survived by his wife, Betty, of rural Glenville; two sons, Cullins Roberts and his wife, Barbara, of Albert Lea, and their sons, Barry, and Chad, James Jones and his wife, Kyla, of Latimer, Iowa, and their children, Nicole and Daniel; four great-grandchildren, Brandi Jo, Jaron, Dana and Joseph Roberts; sister Evelyn Brewer and her husband, Blair, of MarshalItown; aunt Berniece Schraeder of Wells; -law Katy Jones, of Racine, Wis. and Marguerite Prestholt, of Albert Lea; brother-in-law Oscar Campbell and his wife, Lovella, of Eagle Lake; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Hendrickson died on Thursday, May 7, at Naeve Hospital. He was 84. He was born on March 2, 1908, in Hartland, the son of Henry C. and Marie (Peterson) Hendrickson. As a young child, his family.

moved to Springdale, Ark. They returned to Hartland and he attended Hartland schools. He worked on the Alaskan: Highway for a short time. On' Feb. 7, 1945, Norman was united in marriage to Evelyn J.

Hanson at the Trinity Lutheran Parsonage in Albert Lea. They lived in Minneapolis. while he attended Dunwoody Institute and he began working for the civil service, moving to Rock Island, Ill. and Tooele, They returned to Albert Lea in 1947, where they have since. He was employed at Emit, Olson's and then Foundry for 25 years, retiring in, 1973.

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, the Senior Citizens Club of Hartland, and loved to garden and travel. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, of Albert Lea; three sisters-in-law, Nora Hendrickson, of Albert Lea, Erliss Jenson, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Arlene and her husband, Ronald Crowe, of Hartland; a brother-in-law, Don Hanson, and his wife, Eva, of Albert Lea; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by. his parents; brothers, Martin, Oscar, Helmer, Walter and Ernest; sisters Esther Overholt, Bertha Bell and Ella in High and dry. We plan to make Hillcrest higher and drier by improving the drainage system.
